Player Conduct
HYSL expects all players to behave appropriately
• A player shall not strike a coach or official
• A player shall not use abusive language
• A player shall not fight with other players
• A player shall not intentionally try to injure another player
• A player shall not display unsportsmanlike conduct on the playing field
• A player shall not steal or abuse the uniforms or equipment of the HYSL
• Players and/or parents must make every effort to call their coach prior to practices or games if they cannot attend
Zero Tolerance Policy
In an effort to curtail abusive behaviors by fans or coaches, anyone who is proven to be either physically or verbally abusive to a player, coach, referee, or another fan, will be banned from all HYSL activities for one year.
For HYSL teams that are participating in the Quabbin Valley Soccer League (that is ALL teams in Grades 3 – 8), any activity that violates our collective Zero Tolerance Policy may result in HYSL receiving a lifetime ban from being able to participate in the Quabbin Valley Soccer League.
NOTE: At these age groups, participation in the Quabbin Valley Soccer League may be the only way to ensure all players can enjoy a full season with multiple opponents for competition. Please help us in our efforts to continue participation in this league, that will ultimately benefit the youth of greater Holyoke!
